The EU-Japan Centre targets high-tech companies for its very first defence mission to Japan.

The mission is organised on the fringes of the DSEI Japan 2025 exhibition that takes place in Tokyo, Japan in May. (For more info about this event https://www.dsei-japan.com)

The 4-day mission will allow 12 EU SMEs to exhibit at the trade fair in a joint booth under the EU-Japan Centre umbrella, and to attend networking events to connect with Japanese business partners. Prior to the mission an online pre-departure briefing will be organised to enable participants to better prepare the mission.

Mission date: 20-23 May 2025
Application deadline: 17 January 2025

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

EU SMEs active in the defence sectors:

• Aerospace technologies
• Cyber-security and IT and AI technologies
• Drone or AUV technologies
• Laser-, acoustic or satellite communication technologies
• Maritime defense technologies
• Guide Missile technologies
• Radar technologies
• other defense-related services and equipment

COSTS

- The EU-Japan Centre will cover participation fees to the trade fair, and the booth operational costs.
- The participants companies are expected to cover travel, accommodation and living expenses.

Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited, therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.
