Abstract

Thermal runaway is a serious issue related to the overheating of batteries. To overcome this problem, we are seeking partnerships for the development and application of materials in batteries that delay overheating. We believe partners with experience in the following areas will strengthen our project: thermal management modeling, Chemical Material Characterization, and Battery Testing.

Description

With the widespread use of batteries in our daily lives, a variety of battery issues have begun to emerge. One of the most common problems is thermal runaway in batteries. We have a project aimed at delaying the overheating of batteries. Our project consists of three main parts. The first part involves studies related to modeling the overheating in batteries. The second part will focus on the development of materials that delay the overheating problem in batteries, and the third part will cover the application of these developed materials on batteries. We aim to strengthen our project with partners who have experience in these areas.
Advantages and innovation
In this project, there are many innovative aspects. The leakage issue of phase change materials greatly limits their use. To overcome this problem, the microencapsulation of phase change materials is proposed in this project. This will not only prevent the leakage problems of phase change materials but also facilitate their application.
