Title
A SME that specialises in the manufacture of machinery systems and the design of processing and recycling technology is seeking to establish partnerships in the field of recycling end-of-life solar panels
AbstractAn experienced professional in the field of precious metal and critical raw material recovery is seeking partners to collaborate on a European project. The project focuses on developing and upscaling innovative solutions for the sustainable recycling of end-of-life solar panels, with the aim of recovering valuable raw materials.
DescriptionThe global transition toward renewable energy has led to a significant increase in the use of solar panels. However, end-of-life solar panels pose a growing environmental challenge. This initiative aims to tackle the issue by advancing recycling technologies that enable the recovery of critical materials such as silicon, silver, and aluminum, tin, tellurium, and antimony, as well as gallium and indium.
The project seeks collaboration with research institutions, universities, and companies experienced in material recovery, recycling technologies, and solar panel lifecycle management. Partners will contribute to technology development, pilot testing, and scaling up innovative recycling processes.
Expertise in designing and manufacturing recycling machinery and process development is central to this initiative. The goal is to integrate advanced recovery methods into economically viable and sustainable recycling solutions.
Advantages and innovation
• Comprehensive Recycling Approach: The project focuses on the entire solar panel lifecycle, aiming to recover critical materials, reduce waste, and create a closed-loop system.
• Advanced Machinery Design: Cutting-edge machinery and processes will be developed, ensuring higher efficiency and cost-effectiveness in recycling operations.
• Sustainability-Driven Innovation: The initiative promotes the circular economy by reclaiming valuable resources and minimizing environmental impact.
• Collaborative Expertise: By uniting diverse expertise in recycling technologies, material recovery, and lifecycle analysis, the project will lead to innovative and scalable solutions.
