AbstractA Belgian multinational active in the consumer goods is seeking effective, safe, and effortless solutions able to kill or repel crawling insects, such as ants and cockroaches inside the home (other types of crawling insects are in scope i.e., bed bugs) or any groundbreaking findings from universities/institutes. Commercial collaboration with technical assistance with industrial partners or academia is sought.
DescriptionThe issue of crawling insects in homes has been an ongoing issue. The popular types of crawling insects causing problems have been ants and cockroaches. They can spread diseases, causing germs, contaminate food, cause allergies / allergic reactions in humans and pets or even asthma. Further, some species of ants can cause structural damage and chew through household wiring.
In order to prevent and avoid all these risks, the Belgian company is looking for effective, safe, and effortless solutions / products able to kill or repel crawling insects inside the home.
With such a purpose, the Belgian company is looking for collaboration with industrial partners able to provide the required solution or with universities or research institutes with groundbreaking findings .
Any proposed product solution has to be compliant with the technical requirements listed below.
The kind of expected collaboration is a commercial agreement with technical assistance or a licence agreement allowing the large account envisage discussions on the terms of the licence use.

The company is looking for:
• Trap and devices (exclude repellent options).
• New start-ups and/or patented solutions.
• Any groundbreaking findings from universities/institutes.
• Solutions which are consumable: technology is or has a component which needs to be refilled.
• Solutions which are regulation compliant: technology owners have a solid understanding of the regulations on the technologies, ideally the solutions are FIFRA-compliant (Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act compliant).
The company IS NOT looking for:
• Solutions which are solely applied outdoors are out of scope.
• Devices which with no consumable component.
• Non-regulated technologies: the technology owner needs to provide a detailed background on how the technology is regulated, whether it is by FIFRA standards or a different set of standards.
• Technology with no proven efficacy data.
• Unvalidated/unproven ideas: proposals must have some available validation in other fields.
