The Woodpecker Vehicle Project aims to leverage cutting-edge technology to reduce carbon footprints and promote renewable energy sources in the automotive sector.
Our proposal involves the following potential areas of collaboration:

1. Woodpecker DIY Kit starting from 20 kUSD;
2. Research and Development: Engaging faculty and students in joint research initiatives, focusing on enhancing the technological framework of our eco-friendly vehicles.
3. Internship and Training Opportunities: Providing practical, hands-on experience to students, aligning with your educational objectives to prepare them for future challenges in engineering fields.

Woodpecker is Open Source based Carbon negative electric vehicle platform with low production, delivery and operation costs built on recyclable and disposable Circular Economy concept.
Woodpecker, on the opposite of any existing vehicle, has Carbon negative production emissions, because CO2 is being encapsulated by trees while growing.
Use scenarios are urban micromobility, agriculture and industrial logistics in place like cities, communities, campuses, factories and farms.
Depending on body modules, Woodpecker could carry cargo, passengers or equipment in 3 modes – manual, tele-operation and autonomous (virtual rail).

Advantages and innovation
Automation:
If implemented wisely, self driving cars, autonomous and semi/autonomous and remotely controlled vehicles are about to increase safety, decrease the operational costs and help to handicapped at the reasonable price.
Depending on body modules, Woodpecker could carry cargo, passengers or equipment in 3 modes – manual, tele-operation and autonomous (virtual rail).
Flatbed platform is built on “skateboard chassis” – compact and modular frame concept and is fully drive by wire controlled by initial design.
Platform based vehicles are intended for use in controlled environment with top speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) and might be registered as Low Speed Vehicle (LSV).
Vehicle is available in 3 versions – “Made Yourself” – cut the wood by open source drawings for free, DIY – buy prefabricated ready to build kit and assembled vehicle by one of partners.
Micromobility:
There is a growing need for special legal category of urban vehicles for effective and ecological short distance community in urban in campus environment. LSV(low speed vehicle) category in USA is a great example.
