Title
Technology of chemical silicon recovery from photovoltaic panel waste
AbstractLatvian enterprise involved in general and electrotechnical waste processing is looking for chemical technology to recover silicon (Si) from photovoltaic panel waste.
DescriptionIt is known, that parts of solar panels, as frames, mostly aluminum, can be easily removed and recycled. At the same, remaining content of panel, mixture of tamper proof glass, glue, silicon cells, and plastic backplane, even crushed, are difficult to sort. Company is looking for chemical separation technology from crushed wase particles, containing Si, and, if possible other precious metals.
Advantages and innovation
If, yes, it is advantage in the market, as there are no technologies to recover Si from waste to required purity.
